HOMELESS IN WAIKIKI - PRETEXT VIGNETTES

AWAKE PEOPLE APPRECIATE KINDNESS MORE THAT THOSE THAT MAY BE DEEP IN THE LITTLE SLEEP AND RESPITE THE CIRCUMSTANCES BRING THEM. YOU THINK!

(ACT 1)
WHILE ENJOYING THE LITTLE SLEEP POSSIBLE IN DISTURBING & CHALLENGING CONDITIONS, I AM AWAKENED BY WHAT SEEMS TO BE A USUAL GROUP OF REVELERS. I TELL AN AQUAINTENCE THAT THERE IS A SET - UP ATTACHED TO THIS ONE. HE SOON LEAVES. I AWAKEN AGAIN AND NOTICE THE REVELERS ARE STILL IN ATTENDANCE AND A POLICEMAN HAS STRATEGICALLY PLACED HIMSELF WITHIN RANGE. SUDDENLY I FEEL A POKE ON MY ARM AND A WOMAN ANNOUNCING SHE WANTS TO GIVE ME MONEY. I REFUSE HER OFFER AND ASK HER TO LEAVE ME ALONE. SHE POKES AGAIN AND AGAIN ANNOUNCES, "WE WANT TO GIVE YOU MONEY". I AM NOW BOTHERED AND REPEAT MY REFUSAL AND SUGGEST SHE FIND SOMETHNG TO DO.

(ACT TWO) POLICEMAN, IN A LITTLE VOICE

JUST HAPPENED TO BE IN THE AREA POLICEMAN COMES OVER AND TELLS ME I SHOULDN'T YELL AT THE "LADY". I INFORM HIM THAT I REFUSED HER OFFER FOR MONEY AND HAD TO ASK HER AGAIN TO LEAVE ME ALONE. HE INSISTS THAT I NOT YELL AT HER BECAUSE IT IS "HARASSMENT". I INFORM HIM THAT POKING SOMEONE AND INSISTING THAT THEY TAKE MONEY WHEN THEY HAVE REFUSED IT IS HARASSMENT, AND I WOULD APPRECIATE HIM SHOWING ME IN THE MORNING WHERE THE LAW STATES YELLING IS ALSO. HE WARNS ME NOT TO "EVEN START WITH ME". TO THE CONTRARY... SINCE I SAW NO CODE EXPLAINING THE HARASSMENT SUGGESTION,I BELIEVE I SHOULD BE QUITE FINISHED WITH OFFICER KUPAHEA, AS I AM TOLD HIS NAME IS.

SOS - HAWAII POLICE "WORK"

Monday Aug 18th, I go to the police station to get a copy of the report made to Officer Porter. Guess what? My statement is not with the rest of the paper work.
The incident report I do get has the CASE CLOSED, (50 MINUTES AFTER I MADE THE REPORT), INFORMATION I DIDN'T SUBMIT WITH MY 2 STATEMENTS, (1 MADE TO LISA AKSIONCZYK 7/21/08 - 2 MADE TO LAUREN PORTER 7/27/08.

Hawaii governor, police chief to review law enforcement response to palace takeover
1:53 AM EDT, August 17, 2008

HONOLULU (AP) _ A group of Native Hawaiians claiming to be the state's legitimate rulers occupied the grounds of a historic palace for two hours before being arrested by state officers in the second recent takeover of its kind.

A staff member of the Iolani Palace said she was assaulted and slightly injured during the takeover Friday night, then snubbed by city police who claimed they didn't have jurisdiction. Gov. Linda Lingle said Saturday that there would be an investigation into the police response to the takeover.

REPORTING

Subject: Reports

I made a report to an officer by the name of Lisa Aksionczyk, on Saturday the 21st of this month, about a stolen backpack I left on the route E bus. Ms. Aksionczyk suggested at the time, that I inquire at the lost and found department of The Bus. I thought this was a good idea, so that a good samaritan would not have the unpleasant experience of someone thinking they were a thief.

The only time I could check with The Bus lost and found would be the following Monday, it is not open on weekends. I did call The Bus, on Saturday, with an emergency report because there was important ID in the backpack.

I was told by the representitve that no backpack was turned in. On Monday I went to the transit center to inquire in person, and was dissapointed to be shown backpacks that were not mine.

I returned to the police station downtown to complete the report with Ms. Aksionczyk, at 5:40 in the morning on Monday and was told by the officer on duty at the receiving area that she would be in at 6:00. I waited until 6:00 and inquired with a different officer, and was told that she would not be at the receiving area until 10:30 - 2:30. I tried again during these hours, without sucess. This has been 5days now and no report has been generated and I can not get a number to reference concerning the case. I need to no how to get the report filed and a number to reference with further correspondence.

S O S

MY BACK PACK IS STOLEN FROM A ROUTE "E" BUS. I MAKE A REPORT TO OFFICER AKSIONCZYK ON 7/21/08. I HAVE TO MAKE ANOTHER REPORT TO OFFICER PORTER ON THE 27 BECAUSE THE FIRST ONE WAS NOT FILED.

I AM TOLD THAT IF THE BACKPACK IS TURNED IN OR FOUND, SINCE I HAVE LOCKS ON THE ZIPPERS, THE POLICE WILL HAVE TO "BREAK" IT OPEN TO ASCERTAIN THE OWNER.

Raymond the bus driver tells me the bus terminates in Waipahu.
RAYMOND, THE BUS DRIVER LIED.

MISINFORMATION

Trying to remember that policeman's name that told me over the phone that the police are only interested in prostitution that happens on the street. It's coming, it's coming... I remember, it began with a T. Maybe later.
