TRUE BLUE
AN OFFICER ACTUALLY TELLS ME THE PARK REGULATIONS ARE TO GET RID OF THE HOMELESS. THIS IS NOT NEWS, BUT QUITE REFRESHING. IF ONLY THE CITY AND COUNTY HAD THE NADS.
BUT THAT WOULDN'T BE THE NORM FOR THOSE IN HAWAII WHO WANT TO BS OTHERS. LIKE I FOUND OUT ON THE JOB. PRETEXT RULES.

Man denies provoking shooting by officer

Police Maj. Frank Fujii said Silva launched an unprovoked attack on the officer at 5 a.m. Sunday at the Makaha 7-Eleven, punching him in the face and threatening to kill him. Just as the officer was about to black out, he reached for his handgun and shot Silva.
Silva said the officer shot him twice in the stomach, causing him to fall back, and as he lay on the ground, the sergeant shot him again in the stomach. "I said, 'Nough.'"

LAW ENFORCEMENT LUNCHING
I go to the police station today and find there is still no statement with the report about my backpack being stolen. I ask for a copy of the report, and am told by the clerk, they don't give copies of reports. In the past I was given copies of reports. Coincidentally, I had some copies in the backpack that was stolen. Seems the clerk could be aware of the fact the copies are not now in my possession. This would suggest to me either the police have the backpack, or the clerk has intelligence peculiar to the situation, that the contents are no longer in my possession.

We received your e-mail and regarding the questions stated in your e-mail. Some one possible had called in a complaint of a person sleeping in a public area during business hours. In your e-mail you had mentioned that you did not have any picture id to identify who you claimed to be. Therefore, the officer inquired for a SSN card, which you willingly provided. You provided your name and with your SSN the officer was “running a make” to ascertain if you have been arrested in the pass. If you were arrested in the pass there would be a physical description of you and a verification of your name. These are normal procedures. The taken of your photo is done in compliance between two parties.

I recently was awakened by officers and given a warning about sleeping during the wrong hours, in Waikiki.
1. I was aware of the new laws, but was surprised to have one of the officers take my picture.
I would like to know is this part of the law, as procedure, or just the whim of HPD.
2. I didn't have picture ID at the time, so an officer asked for my SSN. What is this for? I informed the officer our numbers should be protected, as I'm sure he knows. He said it was to help identify me and that he was going to " run a make". This sounds a little involved for a warning. Please tell me the proper procedure and what was discretionary. I don't think officers should be able to excercise whim, they should follow procedure.

Again, this time sans the request for SSN. Another picture for the Homeless Catalog taken, while my questions in the email are coincidently answered by the female voice on the officer's radio. This is called coordination and communication.
I still have Bwankie, just can't use it between the hours of 10PM and 5AM.
They say the laws don't TARGET the homeless. Who else sleeps outside, in parks, on the beach and benches, between the hours of 10PM and 5AM.
With all respect due officers that don't lie, cheat, steal, murder, and generally BS the public, the officers are following the mandates of the residents, shopkeepers and politicians. I even think this is more the case, than complaints from tourists.
No answer from HPD email yet.
